I have mentioned you'll only be able to purchase The Tales Of Mr Bear until Christmas 2025... "for lovely reasons".... and today I'm excited to share with you the lovely reasons.
Mr Bear's Christmas - a little story with the humblest of beginnings - has taken me on the most magical adventures so far.
Mr Bear's Christmas began life in the alps (while I was still teaching skiing) as sketches which I made in the long winter evenings - dreaming of beginning a new creative chapter. I then added words and made a mini book of the story which I popped in the post in December 2019 as a Christmas gift to my subscriber list.
From there this little story has led me down rabbit holes, to adventures in animation which I would never have imagined, and to wonderful people who've helped me along the way and to Stephen Fry and the BBC.
And last December, this little story had a new festive treat in store as I met with Scholastic just a handful of days before Christmas. They made me an offer to publish Mr Bear's Christmas which I accepted and am delighted to share that it will be in the book shops NEXT autumn, 2026! (It's now a long wait for me now from here until next autumn when it will be wonderful to see the new books in the shops!)
So that's why The Tales Of Mr Bear won't be available to buy after this Christmas.

Mr Bear's Christmas began by celebrating a sense of home, and the people who feel like home to me.
