The Tales of Mr Bear

Three stories in one book

Mr Bear's Christmas, Mr Bear's Day Out and Mr Bear's Best Day.

Each one a tale of comfort, love, friendship, and the magic of the everyday. Ideal for ages 0-6 but - much like Winnie the Pooh - this book will appeal to the adults who never grew up.

Stories which began with kindness

These stories began life as a surprise gift to my email subscribers. Popping them in the post box at Christmas to spread some festive cheer and then again in spring to provide some comfort amidst the pandemic. Soon after, Mr Bear's three heartwarming adventures were combined into The Tales Of Mr Bear.

A perfect accompaniment to the cosy animations

The book also makes a delightful accompaniment to Lorna's animated Mr Bear films, narrated by Stephen Fry. You can find Mr Bear's Christmas on BBC Iplayer.

The Keepsake

220mm x 280 mm

A Limited First Edition copy of The Tales Of Mr Bear makes a beautiful gift. Featuring a layflat binding and is wrapped in its own bespoke gift wrap.

What’s a layflat binding? Well, the technical part is each page is bound to the one behind it making each page double thickness - reassuringly weighty - and like the name suggests, it opens up flat to see the double page spread illustrations in their full glory.

The paperback

A4 (210mm x 297mm)

Second Edition print. The same delightful stories and illustrations as the keepsake. Printed on the thickest paperstock available. Wrapped paper in tissue for delivery.

Welcome to Kai

What a wonderful way to welcome my neice's son Kai who was born on Burns night in Beijing! His grandfather will deliver Mr Bear when he visits in a few days - as I'm afraid I don't completely trust one of the Chinese customs people not to take it home with them!
Thank you Lorna x

The cutest book

Such a lovely book. Maybe slightly pricier than others you might find, but with three stories in one, it is definitely worth the price tag. Heart warming stories and amazing animation. It’s a firm favourite in our household.
