Celebrate with Mr Bear and friends as Mr Bear's Christmas goes onto the BBC this Christmas! Tune into CBeebies on the 13th December to enjoy 11 minutes of cosy festive magic, beautifully narrated by Stephen Fry.
Since first releasing the film on Youtube in December 2020, I've had the joy of Stephen Fry's new VoiceOver, a licence by the BBC and an upcoming live performance by the Hallé Orchestra alongside The Snowman this December.
From such humble beginnings; making the set from scratch mostly from wool using needlefelt (something I'd never done before) and squashing into a little room at my parents house to make the film, it feels so wonderful and surreal to see where this film has gone to. I shot the animation by taking the photos on my iPhone, with a simple £5 stopmotion app and a simple dream of bringing my story to life, for it to become closer to how it was in my mind when I wrote and illustrated it.
It's such a wonderful feeling to share it with you and I hope that you will enjoy curling up with a sherry and some mince pies, or whatever your favourite treats might be!
